Algoma Steel receives commodities and ships products to and from our steelworks in Sault Ste. Marie by rail, transport and vessel.  The plant is serviced by the Canadian Pacific Railway via Huron Central Railway, and by Canadian National Railway direct to locations throughout Canada and the United States.  For transport movement, Algoma is serviced in Canada by Highway 17, part of the TransCanada highway system, and in the United States by Interstate 75, through Michigan.  The steelworks is located on the St. Mary's River, enabling transport on ocean and lake vessels and barges.
