The Direct Strip Production Complex (DSPC) is a state-of-the art facility designed and supplied by Danieli, Italy, consisting of a thin slab caster and hot strip mill. The facility has a potential annual capacity of 2 million tons with an initial target of 130,000 tons per month or an annualized rate of 1.6 million tons per year.

The size range on the DSPC established to date, includes gauges between .047" and .625" and widths between 32" and 63". Capability has been established in a broad range of grades including commercial quality, drawing quality, peritectic, high strength low alloy steels and some higher carbon grades. The focus has been shifting toward specialty items. Market acceptance of DSPC products has been very positive. The quality of the product is meeting and exceeding our expectations which is to be world class.
