Steelmaking

The steelmaking department utilizes two 260 ton basic oxygen furnaces to combine molten iron with scrap steel and other required alloys to produce an annual raw steel capacity of approximately 2.8 million tons.

Using two metallurgy stations, the LMF electric ladle and the CASOB chemical reheat ladle, the steel is further refined to the required chemistry and temperature.
